We are looking for a State and Local Tax Director to join our Tax Department. As a State and Local Tax Director, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
Income and indirect tax nexus. Apportionment and revenue sourcing for income, business activity and indirect taxes. Sales taxability matrices and analysis for indirect taxes. Credits and incentives for job creation and qualifying investments. SALT planning and implementation. M&A SALT due diligence for pending transactions, and SALT controversies involving audits and administrative appeals.
The position involves working in a highly interactive and dynamic team environment within **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***’s National SALT practice. Candidates should have strong research and communication (i.e., writing, and oral) skills as well as a comprehensive understanding of multi-state tax concepts. BS in Accounting, LLM or Master’s in Taxation. CPA and/or JD preferred. Broad SALT experience, including income/franchise tax, personal income tax, and sales/use tax. 10 years of tax experience working in a public accounting or law firm of which at least 4 of the years was exclusively in SALT. Ability to grow strong team relationships. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing both internally and externally. Strong analytical and research skills in a firm or corporate environment. Highly organized. A strong desire to learn new concepts and apply these concepts real-time.
